VISITORS: Please feel free to check out our site, it is a work in progress. Something simple til I can pick a web-design program I`m happy with and learn to use it(lol). Feel freee to leave any comments you like, just be merciful, it`s my first site.
ALUMNI: If you are a former member of Troop #791, I would love to hear stories from the troop`s past. I would love to make a scrapbook of them and even post them on here eventually. If you have any old rosters, pictures, awards, memoriabilia from the troop, that you would l;ike to share, feel free to leave me a message.
Moving from Troop 414 in Austin (and after a few false starts) I joined T-791 in 1976. Six merit badges during one summer camp at El Rancho Cima got me further on the trail to Eagle. Worked at ‘Cima as an in-training counselor and trekked Philmont in 1978, as well as joined the Order of the Arrow. After graduation, I served as an Assistant Scout Master (mostly for Troop 72, Boulder, CO) while in college. After a long hiatus, became involved in Scouting again when I son joined Pack 119 in New Braunfels; three moves, another Pack, and three Troops later, he became an Eagle in December 2009. I have quite a bit in the way of old Troop rosters, pictures, and, memorabilia, that I would like to share – please let me know how I can get them to you. - Lieutenant Colonel D. W. Bain, USMCR Troop 791 Alumnus; Eagle Scout, Class of ’80 Life Member, National Eagle Scout Association

Alumni and Eagle Scout (1981). My entire scouting experience was with Troop 791 and I have great memories of my time there. El Rancho Cima (both River and Horseshoe Bend) were highlights for me and I ended up working there two summers. I also represented our troup in the National Boy Scout Public Speaking Contest for two years, winning 2nd Place in the National Finals in 1979 (in Washington, D.C.). I'll try and find memorabilia that you all might add to your collection.
